Extending your study permit in Canada

Thirty days before to the expiration of your student permit, you may apply for an extension of your study permission. Your study permit is essentially extended until a decision is made if it expired while your application for an extension is being reviewed. In this case, you will be permitted to carry on with your education and employment (either on or off campus, based on the conditions of your study permit). You are not permitted to leave Canada until your application for an extension has been decided upon; otherwise, your permission will immediately expire.
